ParticipantHey guys, since this crap is keeping us cooped up for at least the next few weeks, is there any interest in doing a virtual meeting on April 15?

ParticipantI’m interested. What do you have in mind?

KeymasterI am down, Maybe we just drink our own beers and just have a beer together. That could be fun.
Cheers

ParticipantAgreed! We could keep it simple but just “get together” for a brew!
How would this work with multiple people though? I know with 4 or 5 guys it can
get pretty confusing since everyone’s talking at once……I guess not unlike our live meetings! LOLApril 6, 2020 at 12:06 pm #1271joverturf
ParticipantIf someone has a Zoom account we could do that, or I could try hosting through my Teams account at work. I like the idea of checking in, describing a beer, letting everyone know what you are brewing, etc. It can be a round robin type thing

ParticipantOK, yeah….that sounds like it could work!

KeymasterWE can use my google meet account it goes up to 250 people and you do not need to download any software to run it. Here is the link we can use maybe Evan can email it out to the club.
Cheers

ParticipantIf anyone is using Chrome, this extension allows users to view Google Meet gatherings as a grid rather than switching a main view to whomever is talking. It seems to work well.

ParticipantAwesome Ben, thanks!….just added the extension. This will make the meeting much less chaotic I think.

ParticipantGoogle Meet sounds like a good solution. WooHoo!
I agree there should be some type of agenda, or plan. It is difficult enough at the in person meetings to keep up with the conversations. We might need Colter to ‘run’ the meeting, take check-ins, and like Jeff mentioned allow each person a chance to present what they have, what they are doing, or any questions, and then open it up to comments.
Anybody every participate in a ham radio ‘net’? If so, similar to one of those.

ParticipantDo you guys want me to text or email you my virtual beers for virtual tasting?

KeymasterMy virtual beer keg is all gone, sorry guys.
I am not taking minutes at this meeting. Sorry to be douche.

KeymasterI don’t think we need to be that crazy about it. I think it would be a good time to just get together and have a beer online. I know it will be a pretty big group but no bigger than a meeting at work for me.
Cheers

ParticipantAgreed….I’m ok with no note taking/recap. No home brew available, no problem. Join-in regardless! I have a feeling this will be no bigger than a December meeting at the most. Hopefully we’ll get a bunch of OTMP’s, but by the looks of who is currently active on this site, I’m thinking attendance will come in at about nine at this point.
