Fermenting: We Are The Dreamer of Dreams (NEIPA)colterwKeymasterI dunno Colter…my natural instinct would be to NOT squeeze my bag TOO much, just sayin’ (sorry)
I tell my wife to be gentle when she squeezes the bag. 😉

Fermenting: We Are The Dreamer of Dreams (NEIPA)colterwKeymasterI am in agreement with Jim on the fact that bulk aging on yeast is going to give you a much different result that aging in a keg or in bottles. My recipe for a Biere De Garde is bulk aged on the yeast for up to 6 months.

Fermenting: We Are The Dreamer of Dreams (NEIPA)colterwKeymasterIt seems like your math is off somewhere. Like your boil off rate or your calculations are not factoring in your bag squeezing or you are not squeezing it enough.

Fermenting: We Are The Dreamer of Dreams (NEIPA)colterwKeymasterThis beer is by far my best attempt so far. I moved all hops except the bittering charge to flame out and then did a 4 oz dry hop at high krusen. I missed my target gravity by a lot because I was trying to brew on Aaron’s new Mash and Boil. But I think it turned out better being more of a pale ale vs an IPA.

Fermenting: We Are The Dreamer of Dreams (NEIPA)colterwKeymasterThe answer is yes it will kill a virus. But it is only a sanitizer. You will still need to clean the surface first.

Fermenting: We Are The Dreamer of Dreams (NEIPA)colterwKeymasterWell as of today my work has us working from home for the rest of the month. I am also thinking it is only a matter of time before my kids are out of school. That being said I may need a beer with friends.

Fermenting: We Are The Dreamer of Dreams (NEIPA)colterwKeymasterI made a bootleg pizza oven yesterday. It was pretty simple. They sell these attachments for like $80-120, and that felt too expensive. $11 for some steel flashing at the hardware store and an hour of time and I was done. Nuts/bolts or rivets (I used the latter), and something to cut the metal with (I used some snips).
Was this your own design or did you find it on the internet? I would like to look into how you built it

Fermenting: We Are The Dreamer of Dreams (NEIPA)colterwKeymasterI did adjust the hop schedule when I made this beer. I did keep the .25 of bittering hops. We will have to see how it tastes. It will be ready for the next meeting.
