SpauldParticipant
….and how about a Saison? I always try to make one or two to finish off the brew season. Dry and effervescent, Farmhouse Ales make for an excellent summertime restorative as you settle back in your lawn chair and admire your accomplishments of the day.
…I bottled two batches about three weeks ago as my last brews this season.Attachments:
SpauldParticipantLooking forward to sipping a half liter of that Bob ðŧ
SpauldParticipantHey Chuck, you know I like my lagers and three of my recipes are pretty good summer drinkers; helles, Czech-style pils and Altbier. That said, if lagering is not on the agenda, a good ol English pale ale sure goes down easy during those dog days of summer, due to the lower ABV. Easy peasy to make too!
SpauldParticipantHey Jay, are you saying you dumped your sediment under pressure? Wouldn’t it just flow out by force of gravity?
SpauldParticipantNice job Evan….dang that looks AWESOME ðððð
SpauldParticipantLOL, I’ve had my share of blow off messes to clean up!
SpauldParticipantMy favorite of your label designs is the first one, tho I’m not sure I understand the motto “sure you know yourself”.
I’m a little slow tho, so perhaps it will hit me on the drive home tonight! ðElectrical work always makes me a little apprehensive….just like working with gas lines. LOTS of online research and taking things slow and steady is usually the best approach. Oh, and stopping if you get to a point where you are not 100% sure you know what you are doing!
I have no big projects going on now, so I’m a little envious!
SpauldParticipantOk… Duh Jim….your floor is going in this week! I really should read more carefully. I have many questions for you Evan!
SpauldParticipantWow! ……love the detail Evan, great info here! When do U anticipate installing your latest epoxy floor in the new brewery?
SpauldParticipantWell, you know I love making labels and logos for my brews, so I can certainly relate Evan. I concur with Colter; there does seem to be different approaches to this, ie modern labels vs traditional (from the bygone era, as you say). Guess I mostly like those old classic ones best, like those you posted above. A hobby within a hobby I think!
SpauldParticipantReach out to Cody B. I think he does.
SpauldParticipantYou can let it run forever since it is powered by an aquarium pump. In fact, the longer the better I guess. The bottles all get cleaned with PBW at some point before going into my bottle storage area, then this process before bottling day.
SpauldParticipantOh, ok….old Budweiser. Yuk! The ground is the best place for that!!!
SpauldParticipantYessir, ’tis.
SpauldParticipantWhoa, hold on there Evan! Just looked at your pics (again, a very nice unit)….BUT, I see beer POURING OUT onto the GROUND!!!! ðĪŠ
